Where does the money go?#

Straight into your own paybill or till. We only confirm the result with Safaricom using your Daraja credentials.

What does MAA INVEST charge?#

Accepting payments is free. Payouts to a paybill or bank carry a small fixed fee from the published tariff. A monthly merchant licence may apply to live merchant accounts; it is shown before you register.

Can I test without a paybill?#

Yes. The sandbox needs only a free account. Nothing is sent to M-Pesa.

Can I use the sandbox from my laptop?#

Yes. Only the notify_url must be public HTTPS, so use a tunnel. Without a webhook you can still test the flow and read results with the Status API.

What if the customer closes the page?#

If they approved on their phone, the webhook still arrives. Unpaid checkouts expire after one hour.

How do I refund?#

Money lands in your own paybill or till, so refunds are made from your M-Pesa account directly.

I regenerated my secret. What now?#

The old secret stops working at once. Update your server configuration (and the WHMCS or WooCommerce settings) with the new one.
